The survey used for this study was created by The Forum for Youth Investment for use across the nation to assess out of school time programs. This report is a summary of United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg's implementation of the survey in our region.

The High-Speed Internet Group is a citizen committee convened by Hanover county to research the options regarding the County's lack of reliable high-speed internet access in rural areas. Virginia Commonwealth University generates $3.6 billion in
spending annually in Virginia that supports 43,705 jobs based on
fiscal year 2009-2010 estimates. In light of its role as a unique
education institution in the Commonwealth and by virtue of its
community-oriented mission and practices, the university impacts
the state and local regions in additional multifaceted ways that lead to a higher quality of life for its residents and stronger economic growth.
These results outline the four big ideas that resulted from the table discussions at the summit in 2010 and the action steps in implementing these ideas.
