In October 2010, DBHDS released its interim report which identified major deficiencies in the array and capacity of current services statewide. The report identified 39 distinct services within nine categories that comprise a comprehensive system of care, as well as the four types of base services (crisis response services, case management and intensive care coordination, psychiatric services, and in-home services) that are critical to have available to children statewide. In January 2011, DBHDS released the first set of data from a survey of the forty CSBs about the number and types of children’s mental health services provided by CSBs.
